Cheap Auto Insurance

For many years, when it came time to renew my auto insurance policy, I just stayed with the same company out of convenience, but this time I wanted to shop around and see if I was getting the best price for my auto insurance premiums.

I started by searching around online for cheap auto insurance and found several different companies, many of which I recognized because of their commercials and advertising. I mean, who doesn't know that the "Gecko" has cheap auto insurance, right? After visiting several websites and requesting auto insurance quotes, I was able to compare the prices and vlalue of the various companies. Most of the quotes came back pretty close to the rate that I was already paying, but there was one company that came back a couple hundred dollars less than what I was paying.

Then I began to worry. Is the cheaper auto insurance company going to provide the same service as my current auto insurance company? Is my current auto insurance company service worth the extra couple hundred dollars? These were some of the questions that I had running through my head.

When I got into an accident a few years back, my current auto insurance provider came right out to the accident and had my claim started before I even left the accident site. By the time I made it home, I had a rental car arranged and delivered to my house. They went out of their way so that I was not inconvenienced because of my accident which was really great because I was not feeling very well from the crash. They handled all of the details directly with the repair shop and towing company to make sure my car was going to be returned to me in perfect condition and they also handled all of the details with the other parties insurance company. I was very impressed with their service and attention to detail.

I started to wonder if this new, "cheaper" auto insurance company would do the same thing for me if I was in another accident. I was so spoiled by my old auto insurance company that I expect nothing less from any other company.

After doing all of my online research for a cheaper auto insurance, I came to the conclusion that I was getting a good price on my auto insurance and therefore decided to stay with my current auto insurance company. Their excellent service has proven to be dependable and their rates are still very comparable to the other companies out there. Cheap auto insurance may be a way to lure new customers to your business, but the customer service that I was provided during my accident has made me into a loyal customer to my current provider.
