Apply For Both Auto Warranties and Have Them Compete Against Each Other!

Thank goodness for auto warranties! My auto warranty saved me big time this month. I knew there was a reason why I spent the little extra money and bought a new car. My air conditioning just went out in my car in the dead heat of the summer, and without my auto warranty, I would not been able to afford to get it fixed.

When the air conditioning in my car went out last Wednesday, I drove my car straight to the auto dealership service center. They checked my car in and started setting everything up. They let me know that it could be a couple of days before I would get me car back depending on what the mechanic says is wrong with my car. He also said that it is not normal that a brand new cars air conditioning goes completely out, but not to worry the whole thing is covered under my auto warranty.

This is when I got to thinking, how much is this auto warranty saving me? Yeah, it has been an inconvenience to take time out of my day to bring my car here and drop it off, but then they gave me a courtesy car to use in the mean time. That helps me out because I would have had to rent a car to get back to work and around town for the next day or so until my car was fixed. This auto warranty has already saved me some money by being given the courtesy car.

The next day, around 3:00 in the afternoon, the service manager gave me a call to give me the full outcome of my car. That is when he told me that the whole air conditioning unit in my car had to be replaced. The mechanic is wrapping everything up but they were waiting on one last part to get there for it to be completely done. He said that my car would be ready by noon the next day. That worked out perfectly for me because I could just go there on my lunch break and pick up my car.

When I got to the dealership the next day my car was done and waiting in the service center driveway when I pulled up. I noticed that it had been detailed. That was a nice added bonus. I then went into the service center to meet with the service manager and get my car keys. This is when he went over the invoice breakdown and total. The total cost of my air conditioner repair came to just under $3000.00. I was in total shock! All that I kept thinking was I am so lucky that I had my auto warranty. If I didn't, this car repair would have caused me to be broke or suffer through a very long and hot summer!
